The Indicator Cards

Pick 9 random cards. (Fig1)
Let the spectator choose a card between the nine cards face down. (Here we pick the Ace of Spades) (Fig.2)

Put the chosen card on the top of the nine pack
Take the rest of the deck and put it on the top of the pack

Now you are going to make 4 piles. All you have to do is to Count down from 10, Jack, Queen, Kings worth “10”.
If you get a match you move to the next pile. (a “match” means as your counting you turn over a card that is the same as the number you said)
If you don’t get a match all the way down to 1, put a card as a cap on the pile. If you get a match you move to the next pile. (Fig.3)
If you dont get a match all the way down to 1, put a card as a cap on the pile
Explanation : During the counting, we had a match at the number 2 and 10 and in the 3rd pile, we didn’t get a match.

So we have 4 piles. 2 and 10. (Fig.4)
When you add them you have 12.
The 12th card of the rest of the deck is the chosen card (Ace of Spades)

The Uninvited Card

Before beginning, a small set-up is necessary. Sort the cards by color. Put the red cards in one side and the blacks in the other one. Gather these two decks by putting the black one on the red one. Once that is done, the trick can begin. (Fig.1)

Spread the first 15-20 cards of the deck face down and ask the spectator to choose one. Ask him to replace the card in the lower part of the deck. (Fig.2)

To locate the chosen card, it is necessary to spread cards. Make an American shuffle. Try several times until you see the card in different color. (Fig.3)

Once the card memorized, execute another American shuffle and display the package face up to show that cards are well mixed. (Fig.4)

You just have to reveal the card as you think best!!!

Australian Shuffle

It's not really a trick, but a false shuffle ...

You want to look honest when you shuffle a pack of eight cards ... Take the top card of the pack and place it on the table.
Put the top card of the pack under the pack.
Put the top card of the packet on the deck on the table.
Put the top card of the pack under the pack.
Put the top card of the pack on the deck on the table.

And so on, until all the cards are on the table. You just made an "Australian shuffle."
→ After four identical shuffles, the cards are in the same order like the beginning.

Amazing Mathematics

Ask a spectator to choose a random card in the deck. Tell him to memorize the value of that card knowing  that an Ace worth 1 ; A jack : 11; a Queen : 12 and the King : 13.

Then, simply ask your guest to follow this procedure:
Multiply by 2, add 3 and multiply the result by 5. Then depending on the chosen card
, add:
- 1 for Diamonds
- 2 for Clubs
- 3 for Hearts
- 4 for Spades

After that you have a result.

Now ask the spectator and announce that you already knew the card chosen by the spectator.

The secret of the trick:
To find very quickly the chosen card, you must subtract 15 to the result announced. You get a number whose last digit gives you the color of the card:
- 1 for Diamonds
- 2 for Clubs
- 3 for Hearts
- 4 for Spades

The first part gives you the number then the value of the card.

Example:
The random chosen card is the 8 of hearts.
The resulting number is:
8x2 = 16
16 +3 = 19
19x5 = 95
95 +3 = 98

Number announced by the spectator : 98

Remove 15:
98-15 = 83

The 8 indicates that this is an 8 and 3, the last digit indicates that it is a heart. We have found the 8 of hearts. It’s MAGIC!!

T.R.E.M.E.N.D.O.U.S

Ask the spectator to shuffle the cards and then give you a number between 10 and 20.
In our example, the audience chose the number "15".

Then, ask him then to count 15 cards and put them face down. Attract it attention to the digits of the number (here 1 and 5).

Ask your audience to add the 2 numbers and look at the card that corresponds to the result (here 6th card).

The spectator let the card to its correct position and then puts the pack of 15 cards face down on the table and this package covers the rest of the cards.

Tell him it would be “TREMENDOUS” if we manage to find his card. Spell the word "T.R.E.M.E.N.D.O.U.S" while dealing a card for each letter spelled. You will find automatically the selected card.  (You must deal the cards, faces up)
